Providing Energy through Warmth and Solidarity

 

This project was initiated by the Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network in collaboration with the EcoGeneration, the Ukrainian Civil Society Hub, the Odessa Center for Nonproliferation, and the Civil Council on Defense and

Security to support Ukrainian experts working in nuclear security, safety and nonproliferation fields.

Our goal is to collect funds for humanitarian aid to Ukrainian experts. During the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, they continue to suffer fromthe lack of electricity and heat supply, which represent priority humanitarian

needs.

 

According to the Ukrainian National Power Company Ukrenergo’s leadership, the shortage of electricity in Ukraine will persist through the winter period at least. Wartime priorities include, in the following order, life support facilities,

hospitals, military facilities, and the defense industry. Only after these elements is the supply of electricity to residential buildings considered.

destroys restored systems creating even bigger holes in the Unified EnergySystem.

 

We understand that we can provide everything, but we can help our colleagues who work in NUCLEAR CRITICAL ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE to continue performing their duties, knowing that they have support.

Your donation will help purchase electric generators, which can be charged from solar panels. These provide a safer solution for those living in multi-story apartments buildings where it could be life-threatening to use diesel

generators. Other purchases will include electric blankets which have low energy consumption, voltage stabilizers, adapters, and long-lasting powerbanks.
